ODDSTORY BREWING

chattanooga's first indoor beer garden, microbrewery and restaurant located downtown.

Oddstory Brewing is a tale best told over a personalized beer flight with the owner leaning on the bar to describe the inspiration for the name and the massive renovation of the space that brought an Old World beer garden atmosphere to downtown Chattanooga.

Haskel Sears turned that inspiration into a reality. As general contractor for the transformation of a neglected, decaying building into a structurally sound microbrewery and taproom, Haskel Sears met every challenge and completed construction in just 12 weeks.

Cracked and graffiti-covered walls were rebuilt from the ground up with reinforced corners for structural integrity. A leaking roof was repaired and skylights installed while bricked up windows were reopened to allow maximum natural lighting for a once dark and gloomy space.

Roll-up doors with glass panels and streetscape counters across the front of the building provide reciprocal visibility for the open taproom atmosphere inviting the local community to sit together at long beer hall style tables and tell stories over a cold brew.

The copper-topped bar and wall panels of reclaimed wood are part of the Haskel Sears signature style to complement the contemporary design of asymmetrically stacked built-in shelves and stained, patterned cement floors.

A functional microbrewery gives renewed purpose to a proud old building with new wiring and plumbing throughout. Oddstory joins the transformation of MLK Boulevard with new sidewalks and a super friendly, well-lit, open air neighborhood gathering space.

Oddstory Brewing Company offers 12 taps of OBC beer including three flagship brews and an ever-changing menu of crowd-pleasing beer munchies.
