ECLECTIC SOUTHERN COMFORT FOOD WITH CRAFT BEER & COCKTAILS IN A FUNKY HANGAR-LIKE SPACE WITH A PATIO.

The Flying Squirrel is a locally owned restaurant and bar in Chattanooga. In 2015, it was named the best-designed cafe and bar in the United States by the Los Angeles chapter of the American Institute of Architects, ahead of 27 eateries in its division, nationwide. Cogent Studios and Haskel Sears Design designed the Flying Squirrel building's layout and its interiors. The Flying Squirrel features a glass and wood structure that seamlessly transitions the experience of being inside and outside, featuring tall ceilings, reclaimed pieces of a 115-year-old barn from McMinnville and huge beams from an old knitting mill.
